About

Our History

The origin of Micris Packaging dates back to the early 1900s from the US Oppenheimer group. A change in shareholding in the Australian arrangements in the 1990s created Micris Packaging, a specialist packaging company.

As our company has grown, we have relocated our head office and manufacturing operations to our purpose-built premises at Yatala, where we manufacture or convert a large range of packaging products including laminates, specialty VFFS & HFFS films, barrier pouches, shrink bags and unique casings. Our printing capability also allows us to offer our range with high quality print presentation.

Our national presence among food, meat and poultry processors is attributed to our sales and warehousing facilities in mainland capital cities ensuring we can service our customers with direct support and a streamlined distribution network.

Our People

As a family owned and orientated company, we recognise the importance of our people. It is through our staff’s dedication and contribution that we have been able to establish ourselves as key part of the industry. As a company, we go to great lengths to meet customer demands and the flexibility shown by our people is integral to our success.

An Australian Company with International Alliances

To remain at the forefront of changing international technologies, Micris has fostered strategic alliances with a network of major global packaging manufacturers. This ensures highly technical products and processes developed for larger world markets are available to our Australian customers. Unlike our local and foreign owned competitors, Micris is not constrained by foreign corporate policy or inflexible proprietary systems and can therefore adapt to emerging trends.
